Discussion Questions
1. Read for yourself our scripture reading for today, Luke 24:36-49. What stands out to you
as you read this passage?
2. When the disciples first encountered the resurrected Jesus their minds were filled with
anxiety and doubt. They questioned if all of this was real, or if they were just
hallucinating. Doubt can be a natural part of the Christian experience, have you ever
experienced a season of doubt? How did you come through it? What was helpful to you
as you journeyed through this difficult time?
3. “Then He opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures.” (v45) Before
Jesus told the disciples to go out and share the good news of His resurrection, He
equipped them. What are some ways that you would like Jesus to equip you to go and
share with others about Him? Take time to pray that Jesus would bless you with the
ability to share with others about Him and what He has done for you.
4. In our reading today Jesus met His disciples in a special way. It may look different than
the disciples experience, but has Jesus ever met you in your life? What would it look like
to share that experience with someone else?
