Sequoia Cabin Retreat Disclosures, Terms & Conditions


Chapel in the Pines' Sequoia Cabin Retreat (SCR) is a Two Bedroom, One Bath retreat that can sleep up to eight. All of the linens, blankets, and towels are provided. It is located across Cedar Lane from Chapel's main campus within walking distance of the main shopping center in Arnold.

  • Campers beware that this is a rustic setting. SCR is not Handicap Accessible in that there is a flight of wooden stairs up to the front door, and the door itself is too narrow to accommodate a wheelchair.

We are pleased to offer you SCR located on our property for a period of up to one week at no cost to you. In order to ensure that everyone involved is protected and that the stay is mutually beneficial, we have outlined the following terms and conditions:

Occupancy: The unit is intended to accommodate a maximum number of eight guests, and no additional guests or pets are allowed. The cabin may only be used for residential purposes, and no commercial activities, or events are permitted.

Term: Your stay in the unit is limited to a maximum of 7 days and 6 nights, commencing on the agreed-upon check-in date and ending on the agreed-upon check-out date. If you wish to extend your stay, you must receive our written consent at least 24 hours before the original check-out date.

Use of the Property: You agree to use the unit only in a careful and lawful manner, and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. You will be responsible for any damage caused to the property or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear, during your stay.

Security Deposit: In lieu of payment, you agree to provide a security deposit of $250 at the time of application. The deposit will be refunded within 14 days of your departure, provided that the unit is left in the same condition as when you arrived and there are no damages. If you cancel your stay within 48 hours the agreed upon arrival date, then a $50 surcharge will be deducted from your security deposit.

Cold Weather Surcharge: For registrations between November 1st and March 31st - To help cover costs associated with heating and snow removal we are asking a minimal fee of $25/night to be collected in a separate check at the time of registration.

Insurance and Limitation of Liability: We strongly recommend that you obtain your own insurance to cover any personal belongings, and any liability that may arise during your stay. By accepting this agreement, You agree to indemnify, and hold harmless, Chapel in the Pines, against any and all liability, claims, judgments, including demands arising from your injury or death, and/or damage to the Chapel in the Pines property. It is the intention of the parties that the indemnity provided by this agreement provides for indemnity for Chapel in the Pines to the fullest extent provided for by applicable laws.

Termination: We reserve the right to terminate this agreement and ask you to vacate the property immediately if you fail to comply with any of these terms and conditions, or if you engage in any unlawful activities.
