1. Read for yourself Matthew 19:13-15. What stands out to you as you read this passage? 

2. In today's reading parents are bringing their children to Jesus so that He could bless

them. Jesus’ disciples thought this was inappropriate and tried to put a stop to it. Why do

you think the disciples thought this was a bad thing? 

3. It’s possible Jesus’ disciples thought that Jesus’ mission was far too important for Him to

be spending time with children. They thought He was being distracted and had better

things to do. But Jesus disagreed, He corrected the disciples and took time to bless the

children. Why do you think Jesus prioritized spending time with, and blessing, these

children so much? 

4. Speaking of the children, Jesus said, “the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as

these.” What do you think He meant by this statement? What can we as modern

Christians learn from this teaching of Jesus?
