Read for yourself 2 Chronicles 7:14 & Philippians 4:4-7. What stands out to you as you read these passages?
When times are hard, relationships are difficult, the diagnosis is poor, or the realities of life are overwhelming, may we be people whose first step is to start with prayer. Do you start with prayer? When life is hard, where do you tend to turn to first?
In our 2nd Chronicles reading God calls His followers to humble themselves, pray, and “seek” God’s face. Have you ever lost your keys? Did you turn over every pillow? Did you move things? Then you know what it’s like to “seek” after something. What would it look like to not just “look” for God but to truly “seek” Him?
How often do you charge your phone? Daily? Every other day? You charge it because you know you need to make it through the day! We need to pray daily. Prayer can’t be something that we do every once in a while, or just when we need something. Like a smartphone, we need to consistently plus into our power source. How often do you pray? What could you do to make prayer more of a regular part of your daily life?
