David (Anointed: God Sees the Heart)

Discussion Questions

1. Today’s scripture reading is 1 Samuel 16:1-13. Read it for yourself. What stands out to you as you read this text?

2. Have you ever formed an opinion about someone based on what you saw on the outside, only to discover later that there was much more to their story than you originally realized? What did that experience teach you?

3. Why do you think we are so quick to judge people, and even ourselves, by what we can see on the outside rather than by what is happening in the heart?

4. If God sees your entire heart, including your faith, fears, failures, motives, and desires, what do you think He may be inviting you to pay attention to right now?
